i am chris brown…for now

That’s Absurd

This morning we released the Elevation Worship record. Cool. Thousands of dollars were raised from the proceeds of the record to help Wade and Ferris in their circumstances.

Tonight we gathered at McGlohon Theater in Uptown to celebrate what God’s doing in the heart of this city. Dang. What happened there was ridiculous. Yes, absurd. I’ve never in my life seen a church give so much of themselves in worship to Jesus. Never seen so many people get so excited about loving others, about serving others, about what’s to come this next year as we reach into the center of Charlotte with this campus, about seeing the wealthy business man sit beside the homeless man and hear the same Truth that they are loved by God.

I’m so proud to be a part of this church and what God’s doing in the city of Charlotte. I’m so proud of our people and their hearts. And I’m proud to be a part of something that’s moving forward…fast.

  1. So i attended the service tonight at the McGlohon Theater and tonight was amazing. I’ve been attending elevation church for like 3 months now and tonight was the actual turning point where i really felt that i could connect with god on another level. I have always been”forced” to attend church with my family and when i found out about elevation i was so excited. finally a church created for the youth of the nation.. amazing service tonight.. love the band.. hard core rock on = )

  2. yeah, chris, i’ve been going to elevation for a while and i don’t think i’ve ever seen you go that insane during worship before-but the audience was right there with you so it was very absurd but also awesome.

  3. I totally agree worship was CRAZY tonight. I was in the balcony, even way up there you still felt the presence of God so strong. I think it brought such a freedom to everyone. To be able to see what God is doing. What he is going to do at our new campus. It’s like we caught the vision. I’m so excited. I could have danced and sung all night.
However, I should mention I’ve been coming to Elevation for about 41/2 months. I’ve been in church my whole life. And worship at Elevation is best!!!

  4. Worship last night was totally amazing. I only hate that my hubby had to miss it (couldn’t get a sitter). Any chance of a DVD of last night’s experience coming out?
